Santo was a perfect opportunity for xtina to get a hit but she didn't even perform it once! I bet Ozuna realised quickly that she didn't have any willingness to promote and he moved on. His new song is already on the top 10 of every major reggaeton playlist and has over 27M

He hasn't performed his new single yet, neither Becky G and Karol G and have landed amazing numbers. I honestly don't think a live performance is that important these days to get a hit.

It's more about playlisting AND tiktok (unfortunately). She / they could have easily tried to create a Santo challenge (also PMM had lots of "tiktokeable" moments) yet nothing was done (well Gilbert tried). Ozuna was immediately all over tiktok and IG reposting challenges with his new song

Ozuna has paid dust to this collaboration, it's a fact. This kind of artists release a collabo pretty much every other week and he probably didn't want to overshadow his own new single. It was just another song of the many he will release this year.

Xtina herself said in interviews that Ozuna kept repeating "this will be such a hit" and she dismissed it a bit by saying "you know, I'm not a hit seeker" (probably managing his expectations lol) so he just moved on when it wasn't an instant hit

I would prefer to collaborate with maybe less "popular" artists but more committed to the work done together and more appreciative of the art, not the numbers

This is amazing, even more considering it's not on the top spots of New Music Friday Spain and that it's not in Viva Latino. Hope it stays strong!

No, that's not the reason. All the new releases are added on that playlist but not all of them enter the singles chart.. I think the reason might have been the Viva Latino playlist.
