But fuck any of you rationalizing her not winning more by her "not being latina enough", or "not promoting enough". :ziggy: :womanshade:

Christina belongs as Latin GRAMMY winner many times over & she deserved SOTY or ROTY + would've been an excellent choice for AOTY aswell. :lit: :permaban:
I agree with this. But at the same time, I feel an artist needs to be living and breathing their record to have that big moment of huge critical acclaim. I don’t doubt her passion for the music but Christina hasn’t performed many of the songs, and probably never will. We know for sure she wasn’t campaigning much, if at all, for wins. I’m feel she’ll be delighted with one award and happy for the artists that won.
Another artist, sure. But Christina did that during Stripped and what did she get? One GRAMMY.

My thought is that she deserves more based on the music itself. :lit: Reclusive or not.

La Reina is a good choice, despite not being nominated.

But as I said, she's basically good with performing any AGUILERA-song, they're all gorg music. :shook: :lit:

Sorry, NEQTE is the only correct choice. She can do Sueltameh or Sanka at the VMAs. :rip:
Repent!

Honestly, NEQTE could be stellar tho. :pleading:

Honestly, I don't know :manshrug:

A medley could help since there's no current single and it would promote the whole album which is nominated but at the same time I'm not sure I like the idea of a medley again. NEQTE would give her a lot of praise but I don't think she wants to perform her most personal song in a language she doesn't feel 100% confident.

I'd say performing a new song (with Rosalia???) at Grammys is a good idea because it's the biggest platform for latin music but the question is... do they want to release more AGUILERA songs or just end the era at Latin Grammys? It's so confusing at this point (i mean we don't even have a release date for the physical album)

How I wish they had released Santo/Sueltame now for a strong boost at Latin Grammys! Underrated bops.
It's not too late to perform Suéltame or Santo, it could be epic. But second La Reina performance would slay as well, CMDLG with Nodal could give some exposure to the song, some streams.

I kind of agree about NEQTE, on the one hand, it could be epic, but it's also long-ass song (almost 5mins), extremely vocally demanding and extremely personal and raw, plus Spanish language. So there's potential but it also is stressful, IMO. :womanzombie:

We're all so divided when it comes to what she should perform, not to mention confused when it comes to the rollout and whole era (do we get AGUILERA-CD worldwide?) cc: BaeTine :rip:

As long as she serves quality performance, Fighters should be content with any song-choice, IMO. :rainbowflag: :lit:

It's a fan account.

But yeah, i don't want another ranchera, it doesn't represent the album's direction and won't do anything to the album's sales and streaming numbers.
What would you want for her to perform?

Jamert wrote: Tue Nov 01, 2022 5:35 pm I feel like NEQTE is too personal to make it part of a medley with Santo or anything else, I can see her either doing this on its own or a medley with other songs
Mte.

I guess NEQTE could work as part of medley (sing part of it) but I do think it's perhaps too personal to perform. Though the one-off performance would make more sense than possible LATAM tour performances night after night.

Iono, but whatever she performs, it slays and we should be happy. :womanshrug: :permaban:

did u see views of Mayores by Becky G?
do u know what means latin platinum (how many copies)? Its nice, but that's not any sucess in era of singles.

I want her to win all of the 6! But i don't want to read the hate of latin community later all around it.
Your argument doesn't make much sense.

If you don't want her to win several Latin GRAMMYs because of hate then what does views have to do with it? Backlash is backlash. :womanshrug:

And to counter-argument this fictional backlash: why shouldn't Christina win several trophies when she hasn't entered the race in 20 freaking years? :rip: Others have had plenty of time to shine during that. Not to mention that Christina hasn't really been overrated in the English GRAMMYs either. One could make justified argument with Beyoncé or Alicia Thieves, but not X.

This writer must be a stan:

Christina Aguilera has had a legendary career that keeps hitting new highs, and with the release of her second Spanish-language album recently, it just hit another one.

It was announced that the singer had been nominated for seven Latin Grammy Awards for her Spanish record, Aguilera, and its singles. Along with a few smaller nods, the trilogy album's first lead single, Pa Mis Muchachas, picked up Record and Song of the Year nominations.

The record itself, a grand project that marked the singer's long-awaited return to her musical roots, scored the coveted Album of the Year nomination. The total makes the second most nominated female artist of the ceremony, with Sony Music Latin, her label, celebrating with a photograph of hers on social media.

The singer looked absolutely stunning, wearing a black leather bodysuit with revealing cut-outs in front, paired with fishnet stockings and slicked back hair.

Christina herself shared the picture on her Instagram Stories and then posted a message of her own, writing: "What amazing news to wake up to. So much love to my @sonymusiclatin fam and to my fighters for your endless support."

She was immediately inundated with countless applause and flame emojis from fans left too stunned to speak. One left a comment reading: "So proud and so happy for you. You deserve all of this and more," while another said: "BEYOND PROUD WOW QUEEN!!!"

What made the nominations even more special for Genie in a Bottle singer is the fact that they mark her first time being recognized at the ceremony in over two decades.

Christina was last nominated for a Latin Grammy for her first Spanish album, 2001's Mi Reflejo, winning Best Female Pop Vocal Album at the time.

The awards are slated to take place on 17 November in Las Vegas.
All facts! :lit:

She deserves all this and more!
