I would have loved for the Muchachas to get one too but I'm happy Christina got a new Latin Grammy. And maybe this increases her chances for the Grammys next year!

I'd be really surprised if Motomami doesn't win, but it would be nice if Christina takes that one too!

Lately, urban rhythms have been taking over, so there aren't many big voices. Usually, big vocalists are older or do other genres, not pop.

This is amazing! I'm happy that she won with the album category. I would have been happy if she had won for the songs individually, but it's better when she's recognized for the whole album!

That's what I think too. They honestly do sound great together but the kid is literally 23. He doesn't seem too jazzed to be singing with Xtina and nor does she with him.

I don't think it's an age thing. Nicky Nicole is 22, Becky is 25 and Nathy is 27, and they all had amazing chemistry with Christina.

This guy is probably just not very familiar with her or interested in her music. I don't know, maybe we'll see them interact more in the future, but I doubt so.

So cuuuuute! This was sweet. I wasn't feeling the outfit though. But it was a nice performance. Powerful! It definitely helps having someone else to give her a rest between belts.

And thank God for the mariachi behind her who she could follow whenever she forgot to jump in, LOL

That's a weird ass example. Becky G hasn't won any Latin Grammys despite the success she had with that song, and she's not nearly as influential to Latin pop as Christina was.

Also, Latin Grammys aren't usually about success. Some winners of Album of the Year and Song of the Year were barely popular, and they're rarely even the most popular artists. Sometimes a random artist wins in various categories, even legacy acts win sometimes out of the blue. Like Luis Miguel with a traditional Mexican album, or Vicentico with a rock album, or Alejandro Sanz with a pop album. And these are people with decades in the industry.

So no, it's not usually about sales, and it's not usually about popularity. Christina has both and she's extremely loved in Latin America, so nobody would hate on her.

Also, the fact that she hasn't released an album in Spanish in 22 years is pointless. Christina's albums, even the ones in English, are ALWAYS on top of the charts in Latin America. Even Bionic went straight up to #1 in Mexico, Argentina and other countries. So people support her regardless.
